Lost and Found Astrophotography items

Yes, you’ve read that right. I thought I lost my DSLR camera and telescope accessories a month ago. But I thank God that although I’ve heard that lost items were often impossible to be retrieved by this company, I still got my items back and in good condition.

My friends and colleagues in the astronomy community know how much I value my astrophotography items. As much as I want to sell some of them (because I no longer use them often), I usually change my mind as I couldn’t bear to see them gone. When that company told us that my items were lost, I didn’t cry but remained calm as I already accepted the fact that sending such package via shipment is a big risk. Still, the thought of losing my astro items forever and probably spending again for a hobby is totally devastating. A week after that news, the company said it seems there’s a chance in getting my items back. It’s a good thing I have photos of each item included in the package and this helped the company in their search.

I think my case is extremely rare as most reviews and feedback over the internet and with the people I’ve talked to about their experience with the company’s service were really bad and disappointing. Some were reported stolen and others got their items back but no longer in good condition.

I am sharing this experience as I know a lot of my readers would like to buy telescopes and some are even thinking of buying abroad. Make sure that the company has good reputation and track record of their services and if you have a choice, get or bring the items yourself. I should have brought my camera and other accessories with me but due to health problems, I need to avoid carrying too much stuff.

Above all, I thank God for such favor.

To the stars!
