Curiosity Has Landed!

Congratulations to NASA/JPL and Mars Science Laboratory team for successfully landing Curiosity to Gale crater on Mars on August 6, 2012 at 13:31 pm (Manila Time Zone)!

Curiosity is a car-sized rover consisting of instruments that will analyze the geochemistry of Martian rocks. It is so far the biggest Mars rover ever built by NASA and the first to use  a rocket powered sky crane for landing.

Because I’m really a fan of Mars exploration, I made this as my desktop wallpaper:
