UP Astrosoc Lecture: Basic Astrophotography
I gave a lecture on basic astrophotography for UP Astrosoc Members Lecture Series on April 20, 2012. I also gave the same lecture last March 2011, but I’ve changed the layout and improved the outline. Main topics include similarities and differences of compact digital cameras and DSLR, camera exposure (aperture, shutter speed, and ISO), and exposure techniques for lunar imaging, star trails, eclipses, and the Milky Way band. 🙂
Three more lectures were given by members of the organization. Jerome Sabidong (regular member) demonstrated how to tell time by looking at the phase and position of the moon in the sky, Mr. Anthony Urbano on deep-sky hunting under light-polluted skies, and Mr. Bamm Gabriana on advanced celestial mechanics.
To the stars! 🙂
