Waxing Gibbous Moon
My image of the moon last Feb. 4, 2012:
I waited for the skies to clear up from 11:30 pm of Feb 3 to 3:00 am of Feb 4 without luck. Not minding the frustration, I managed to take 8 images of the moon, each with 1/50 sec at ISO 400 using Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi at prime focus. The images were aligned, stacked, and post-processed in Lynkeos, a free planetary imaging software for MacOSX.
To the moon!
