Dr. Reinabelle Reyes is now in the Philippines to share her passion in Astronomy. Everyone is invited to attend her talk, “The Birth and Death of the Milky Way” at the following venues:
Feb. 8, 2012: Ateneo de Manila University
Feb. 11, 2012: The Mind Museum
Note: I will cancel the two slots I reserved for this talk. Please let me know if you’re interested to attend so I can give it to you. 🙂
Feb. 13, 2012: University of the Philippines-Diliman
Feb. 13, 2012 (Monday) 1:30 to 3:00 pm in iCSI-1A in the National Institute of Physics
Below is the abstract of her talk:
Our Milky Way galaxy is one of hundreds of billions of galaxies in the Universe. In this talk, I will use the latest cosmological simulations to tell the story of how galaxies have formed over the last ten billion years, and how our own Milky Way galaxy will meet its end a “mere” three billion years from now.
