July 4     22:50 Earth at further distance from sun (1.1067 a.u)

July 8     14:30 First Quarter moon

July 15   14:40 Full moon

July 20   Mercury at Greatest Eastern Elongation (visible after dusk)

July 23   13:00  Last Quarter moon

July 28   Mars and Moon at minimum separation (after dusk)

July 30  Southern Delta Aquarids (active from July 12 to Aug. 23, ZHR 16)

July 31   02:40  New Moon
