International Observe the Moon Night (InOMN) Philippines

The Philippine Astronomical Society (PAS) and Astronomical League of the Philippines (ALP) will hold their International Observe the Moon Night event in the Philippines on Sept. 18, 2010 (Saturday).

The International Observe the Moon Night is a worldwide event geared to promote  lunar observation, exploration, and science to the public. This is a great opportunity for everyone who wants to learn more about the Moon!

Below is a list of events by the two Philippine astronomical organizations:

PAS InOMN Event

PAS has two observation sites:

1) Rizal Technological University Quadrangle, Boni Ave., Mandaluyong City – 6:00pm onwards

2) Manila Observatory roofdeck, Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights, Quezon City – 6:00pm onwards

ALP InOMN Event

ALP will hold their free public observation of the moon from 6:00-9:00pm at AstroCamp Observatory in SM MOA San Miguel by the Bay. For more details, please email ALP President James Kevin Ty or text your inquiries to him at 639178559863.
