Waxing Crescent Moon, Mercury and Saturn

Waxing crescent moon, Mercury and Saturn at dusk

The two-day old moon, together with Mercury and Saturn, will be visible starting at 6:45 pm on August 22, 2009 (Saturday). You’ll need an unobstructed view of the western horizon and a pair of binoculars to have a good view of the planets. (As for me, I’ll try to observe without the use of optical aid). Also, Saturn will disappear from view on September, so this week is the best time to observe it before the month ends.ūüôā

Clear Skies, everyone!ūüôā
