Atlantic City Mist Shadows

My image is now featured at Atmospheric Optics POD website. You can see it at http://www.atoptics.co.uk/fz99.htm.

I took this image while strolling around Boardwalk, Atlantic City, New Jersey last June 6, 2008. The clouds then were too low and the sun was still high above the horizon at 6:00 pm. While loving the new environment, I saw a lot of atmospheric phenomenon. There were lots of shadows and reflected sun rays seen near the buildings. Though I have no idea how they happen.

Fortunately, I consulted Les Cowley, an expert in atmospheric phenomena about what I saw last summer.

Check out his simple explanation and visual diagram in the link above.
