Celestial Gift

Tonight, Jupiter is near the moon at a distance of 4 times the moon’s apparent diameter .

Jupiter is the bright yellow object at the left side of the moon.

This date also marks the peak of Ophiuchid Meteor Shower. Even though Ophiuchid meteors are somewhat faint, it might produce bright meteors and fireballs.

What a wonderful gift for the incoming officers of UP Astronomical Society!

Best of luck, guys!
